Pickleball in the Sun Ambassador Program - Official Terms

1. Program Overview:

The Pickleball in the Sun Ambassador Program ("Program") aims to celebrate National Pickleball Month and foster community engagement by selecting passionate pickleball players to represent the Pickleball in the Sun brand in 11 key cities. Ambassadors will receive a curated kit of pickleball products and participate in various challenges and community events.

2. Eligibility and Application Process:

  • Eligibility: Applicants must at least 18 years old or older and be residents of one of the following cities (within a 45-mile radius): Austin, TX; Tampa, FL; Phoenix, AZ; Jacksonville, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Charlotte, NC; Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; New York, NY.

  • Application Period: The application period opens on April 1, 2025, at 12:00 AM Eastern Time and closes on April 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

  • Application Submission: Applicants must complete the official application form available on https://www.pickleballinthesun.com/ambassador-program during the application period.

  • Required Application Components:

  • Completed application form.

  • Links to active social media channels.

  • Responses to all application questions.

  • Term of the Ambassador Program: The chosen ambassadors will have a term through the end of 2025, with the opportunity to interview to extend the program into 2026.

3. Selection Process:

  • Review: The Pickleball in the Sun team will review all eligible applications and schedule interviews with qualified candidates during the application period and until the ambassadors are announced in May.

  • Selection Criteria: The selection process will be based on the following criteria:

  • Enthusiasm for pickleball.

  • Completeness and quality of question submissions.

  • Ability to engage with local communities.

  • Selection: One ambassador will be selected from each of the 11 designated cities.

  • Announcement: The 11 selected ambassadors will be announced in May 2025.

4. Ambassador Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Create and share engaging content featuring the ambassador kit and pickleball activities on social media platforms.

  • Community Engagement: Opportunity to host or participate in local pickleball events, including at least one event every three months, weather permitting.

5. Ambassador Kit:

Selected ambassadors will receive a kit containing:

  • One (1) JOOLA paddle.

  • Franklin Pickleballs.

  • OS1st socks.

  • Digital Subscription to Pickleball Magazine

  • Custom Pickleball in the Sun Ambassador paddle from Ivy Cut. 

  • Opportunity to choose a pickleball bag from either Trelle Co. or JOOLA

  • Pickleball in the Sun apparel (by Kitch).

6. Program Differentiators:

  • Storytelling focus on personal pickleball journeys.

  • Community-building initiatives through local events.

  • Exclusive ambassador experiences and training.

  • National ambassador event (date TBD).

7. Pickleball in the Sun Passport (Gamification):

  • Ambassadors earn stamps for completing milestones.

  • Milestones include playing at unique courts, hosting events, and receiving media features.

8. Program Changes:

  • Pickleball in the sun reserves the right to change or modify these rules at any time. Any changes will be posted on pickleballinthesun.com.

9. Release:

By applying to be an ambassador, the applicant gives Pickleball in the sun the right to use their name, likeness, and social media content for promotional purposes.

10. Disqualification:

Pickleball in the sun reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules or engages in unsportsmanlike conduct.
