Katy Perry’s Light up the Court Pickleball Tournament benefiting the Firework Foundation
Sunday, October 22 marked a significant milestone in my pickleball career. I had the privilege of representing my clients, Centerline Athletics and Civile Apparel, as sponsors of Katy Perry's inaugural "Light up the Court" pickleball tournament, held at the Montecito Club in Santa Barbara, California. This event drew over 200 attendees, all united in support of the Firework Foundation, a remarkable organization whose mission is to empower children from underserved communities by igniting their inner light through the arts.
The Firework Foundation, founded by Katy Perry and her sister, Angela Lerche, is on a noble mission to kindle the inner light of these young individuals through the arts. It was an absolute honor to stand alongside their team and the dedicated Camp Firework counselors, who are making a profound impact on the lives of countless children.
The highlight of the event was a star-studded celebrity pickleball tournament, featuring the likes of Rob Lowe, John Lowe, Kate Hudson, Meghan Trainor, Orlando Bloom, and many others. Additionally, some of the top pickleball professionals, including Federico Staksrud, Maggie Brascia, Mary Brascia, and Thomas Wilson, had the chance to showcase their skills in an exhibition match with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. They also competed against the tournament winners, creating an unforgettable experience for all involved.
This event provided the perfect platform to introduce the collaborative efforts of Centerline Athletics, our premium performance pickleball apparel line, tailored specifically for the pickleball athlete. We were also thrilled to announce our merger with Civile Apparel, a premium lifestyle apparel brand. We're eager to share more exciting updates in the near future.
For those interested in supporting the Firework Foundation and their upcoming Camp Firework, I encourage you to visit their website.

Sharing an Instagram video of the event, Perry wrote, “My mom brought (maybe even forced) her love for pickleball upon our family, and now we’ve decided to use those pickle powers for good ⚡.”
“Yesterday Firework Foundation had our inaugural Light Up the Court pickleball tournament in Santa Barbara to raise money for scholarships, more camps, and programming to bring the arts to kids from underserved communities!
