Maren Morris Pickleball Magazine Cover Story Featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Just this month we announced the exciting news that our Pickleball Magazine Cover Story featuring Maren Morris, top country-pop music star who plays pickleball at every stop on her tour, was released in their September/October Issue. On October 12th Maren sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about her pickleball obsession and declared, “Pickleball is Life!”
While on tour this past summer, Morris and her band set up a travel pickleball court in the middle of a parking lot in between cities. The crew played a few games here and there for fun, before taking the plunge into the pickleball lifestyle fully and even personalizing paddles for the entire crew!
Pickleball in the Sun noticed the hype about pickleball coming from Maren’s crew initially on Twitter. After seeing her excitement about the game, we reached out to her publicist to write a story about her involvement, which led to an extensive cover story in Pickleball Magazine.
““I was adamant about pickleball becoming a trend for my team while we were out on tour. I went on Amazon and bought a ton of equipment so we could set up a travel court at each venue throughout the duration of our tour! It’s funny, I don’t think I’ve ever played on a real pickleball court,” Morris laughed. “It would be so nice to get to play on a real court once the tour is over!””
The Pickleball Magazine article discussing Morris’ involvement in the sport caught wind recently, and had a shining moment on the late-night Live with Jimmy Kimmel show last night.
“It was kind of like a team-bonding thing,” Morris recalls. “And then everyone got really into it, and it spiraled from there!”
