Why Every Professional Needs to Hit the Pickleball Court

As the founder of Vossberg Gainor, the world's first pickleball marketing agency, and the force behind the Pickleball in the Sun lifestyle brand and experiential agency, I've seen firsthand how pickleball is a networking powerhouse. Since my first game, I knew this sport's social, fun nature was perfect for building connections. Simply asking "Do you play pickleball?" sparks conversations and opens doors.

I recently shared my insights with Cloey Callahan of WorkLife, discussing how pickleball is becoming the new golf for networking. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your career, I highly recommend hitting the courts to build meaningful connections. Take it a step further by extending those relationships on LinkedIn, as I've done successfully for the past five years to build my brand and network.

Below are some highlights from the article. Read the full feature HERE that also includes insights from Mary Cannon, John DiLoreto, Erin Mantz, and James Kirkham.

Throughout my 19-year career, I've always understood the power of networking. It has been incredible to reconnect with so many of those connections over the last five years since I've jumped into pickleball. Everything has come full circle and it's an honor to get to provide my consulting services and expertise into the pickleball landscape with so many of you.

Any Gen Zers looking to grow their networking, build your career, pickleball is definitely the way to do that,” said Gainor. “I always tell people once you meet on the pickleball court, go connect with them on LinkedIn. I’m constantly adding to my network and messaging.”

“There’s no sport like it where it’s fun and easy to play and you can learn and play with either your grandchildren or grandparents,” said Gainor
