Another national media hit is in the books for Pickleball in the Sun! Pickleball in the Sun’s founder, Laura Gainor, was recently featured on 1st Look NBC’s episode showcasing behind the scenes footage from the 2021 Pickleball National Championships.

Last year, Vossberg Gainor & Pickleball in the Sun had the opportunity to work with NBC’s producer for USA Pickleball to film Johnny Bananas’ show, 1st Look, at the iconic Indian Wells Tennis Garden during the 2021 USA Pickleball National Championships.
Top pickleball pro, Catherine Parenteau, and her coach, Athena Trouillot, had the opportunity to teach Johnny Bananas how to play Pickleball for the first time as he gave viewers a 1st Look at the Coachella Valley in California.
Under the lights of the grand Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Johnny, Catherine and her coach Athena sat down together to discuss the rules and regulations of the sport of pickleball. Together, the three conversed about proper pickleball serves, the rules of the kitchen, and some of the history behind the game.
